Mary Treece

Mary Presley Treece, born November 30, 1921 passed this life on June 30, 2021 at 99 years of age. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Katie Presley; 12 brothers and sisters; beloved husband Rondy “Mutt” Treece; sons, Bill, Bobby and Tim Treece and daughters, Peggy Treece and Glenda Kirby; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She leaves behind; sons, Gordon (Shannon) Treece, Greg Treece and her daughter Bennie Treece; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren. As a loving wife and mother, Mary was a caretaker for all those around her and cared for hundreds of children through her home daycare. She was blessed with a green thumb and a love for gardening and always shared her abundance with others. She was an accomplished seamstress making many of her children’s and grandchildren’s clothing and was an avid quilter. Mary was the oldest surviving member of her home church, Beaverdale Baptist. Through 70 years of devout membership, she filled many roles; Sunday School teacher, choir member and was active in VBS. Receiving of friends and family will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, with her beloved pastor, Randy Webb, officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Oak Grove Rd., Sharps Chapel, TN 37866. Family and friends will meet there at 10:45 AM.
