Mary Lou McGinnis Lay

Mary Lou McGinnis Lay, of Knoxville, passed away June 23, 2023. She was a member of 6^th Avenue Baptist Church. She was born on November 29, 1941 to the Late Larkin and Vada McGinnis. Mary Lou was the last of 8 siblings. Survived by husband Bobby H. Lay, children Sheila (Mark) Hill and Gerald (Lori) Lay, grandchildren Elizabeth (Kevin) DeBusk, Elisha (Seth) Burnett, Amanda (Shane) Cox, Matthew (Maegan) Lay, and Christian (Lily) Lay, and 12 great-grandchildren. Special thank you to UT Hospice for their love and care. Family will receive friends 2:00-4:00pm Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 4:00pm, Gerald Lay and Matthew Lay officiating.
