Mary Lynn Clevenger

Mary Lynn James Clevenger, age 72, passed into the Kingdom of God at 4:45 a.m. Saturday, August 20th, 2016. To be absent from the body is to be in the very presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Mary’s husband and sister were with her at her passing. She leaves behind husband, Charles, John and Carol Captain, Dallas and Gail James, John and Debbie James, Stan Helmecki, Jim Captain, Robert and Maria Davila, and the joy of her soul Yanni and Periclis Davila, “her boys”, Chuck and Tami Clevenger, and Gina Clevenger Cox. There are a multitude of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and friends. Mary never met a stranger, she loved people and was a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. She leaves her precious camping friends who were like family. We look forward when we will be with our precious family and friends. We are grateful for the mercy and grace we have in Jesus. We also appreciate the courage and strength Mary taught us. We ask the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to be with us all. We would like to thank Dr. Wahid Hanna for his caring for Mary. May God ever bless him in his service to the sick. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Beverly Baptist church, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Eddie Sawyer will be officiating. Family and friends will be meet at 1:15p.m. at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy on Thursday, August 25th, 2016 for a 1:30 p.m. committal service.
