Mary Loretta (Nicely) Jessee

Jessee, Mary Nicely born on March 26, 1945 went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 9, 2021 following a battle with Covid 19. She was from the Knoxville area but resided with her daughter, Alicia Russell, in Maynardville, Tn. She was preceded in death by father Curtis Wade Nicely, mother Mollie Lee Nicely, sister Peggy Earl, brother David Nicely, and eldest daughter Amy Stair Nawy. She leaves behind daughter Angela Lynn Stout and son-in-law Verland A. Stout of Smyrna, Tn, daughter Alicia Jessee Russell and son-in-law Johnny E. Russell of Maynardville, Tn, son Cas Curtis Jessee and daughter-in-law Mary Beth Clark Jessee of Louisville, Ky, granddaughter Lindsey Stair Nawy and grandson Seth Nawy, grandson Justin Stout and wife Whitney, grandson Matthew Stout and wife Tiffany, grandson Chris Russell and wife Megan, grandsons Caden, Cameron, and Cannon Jessee, granddaughters Addison, Anderson, and Lexie Jessee, great granddaughter Maylee Stout, great grandson Gunner Stout, great granddaughter Lottie Stout, great grandsons Trot and Jaxson Russell, and great granddaughter Ainsley Russell, brothers Wade, Gary, and Gregory Nicely, sisters Laura Dean and Darlene Hamilton, many beloved nieces and nephews, and life long best friend Beatrice Brooks. Mary sang for many years at various churches and said that singing was her greatest joy and when she felt most alive. She will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered in a beautiful place chosen by her children, whom she loved beyond measure. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Big Ridge State Park Recreation Center, Rev. Jimmy Davidson and Rev. Matthew Stout officiating.
