Mary “Emogene” Jackson O’Baugh Hinkle, age 81 went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2016. She was a member of New Beverly Baptist Church over 65 years where she taught Sunday School and worked in VBS and sung in the choir. She asked the Lord to be her Savior on April 12, 1947. She has been a devoted Christian woman letting her light shine and always helping anyone in need. Preceded in death by husbands, Melburn O’Baugh and Lester Hinkle Sr.; son, Dennis O’Baugh Sr.; parents, Charlie Sr. & Fleta Jackson; brothers, Buck, Charlie Jr. (Junior), and Robert Jackson; sisters, Elizabeth (Dub) Moore, and Mildred Vandergriff. She is survived by children, Teresa Kidwell, Kaye Miller, Lester Hinkle Jr. (Sonny) and wife Yvonne; adopted daughter, Kathy Ward Lewis; 8 grandchildren, Monica Estes and Dennis O’Baugh Jr. (Bubba), Sonya Scott (Cory) and Raven Hinkle, Robin Kidwell, Tosha Paige (Bryan) and Randall and Lester Miller; great-grandchildren, Colby, Peyton and Jordan Scott, McKensie and Tanner Estes, Tristen, Tyler and Leland O’Baugh, Mason Paige, brother and sister Johnny and Faye Jackson; several cousins and friends. Special thank you to a dear friend Katherine Sexton and special thank you to Hospice and Beverly Park Place for taking care of our mother in her time of need. Friends and family will meet at 12:45 pm Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery for 1pm graveside service, with Rev. Jim Bolton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
