Mary Hannah Mcmurry Howerton

Mary Hannah McMurry Howerton, born July 17, 1923 passed away March 4, 2015. She was a long time resident of Balsam Dr in Fountain City and a graduate of Central Highschool and Knoxville Business College. He home was always warmed by family, friends, and laughter. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and a large extended family. Preceded in death by parents Ola Eliza Armstrong McMurry and Menace Lee McMurry; brothers Lee Menace McMurry and wife Nora, Lester Everette McMurry and wife Vieva, and Thomas Newton McMurry; sisters Wilma Merle McMurry Underwood and husband Floyd and June Betty McMurry Roberts and husband Charles; youngest daughter Judy Lynn Howerton. Survived by he beloved direct descendants: son William Russell Howerton; daughter Ola Kay Howerton Parham and husband Carl; grandchildren Travis Howerton, Brent Howerton and wife Pam, Brooke Howerton Hodgeson and husband Rob; great grandchildren Taylor Howerton, Ava Howerton, Dane Howerton, Connor Hodgeson, Griffin Hodgeson, Addison Hodgeson, and Lakyn Huckaby. Service will be 7pm Saturday at Dante Baptist Church, Rev. Phillip Murphy officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45pm Sunday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for 2pm interment. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Saturday at Dante Baptist Church. Mynatt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
