Mary Cleo Fitch

Mary Wyrick Fitch, born June 2, 1924 and died September 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Louis Stephen Fitch; and her grandson, Stephen Matthew Milligan. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church Fountain City. Mary was an avid reader, dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She was actively involved in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and worked many years at Proffitts Clothiers. After retirement she and her husband moved to Ten Mile on Watts Bar Lake. There she served as president of the Home Demonstration Club and with her business acumin she became coordinator of the Annual Arts and Crafts Fair. Mary and Steve returned to Knoxville to be near their daughter and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Johnson (Craig) of Deltona, FL, Debbie Milligan of Knoxville; her grandchildren, Nicholas Milligan (Erica) of Knoxville and Terry Milligan (Jennifer) of Columbus, IN, Cassandra Dancause (Michael) of Port Orange, FL; great grandchildren, Marley Milligan, Mason Milligan and Whitney Green Milligan all of Knoxville, Seamus Milligan and Kate Milligan of Columbus, IN and Cheyenne Dancause of Port Orange, FL. There will be a private memorial service for family members at a later date. Arrangements by Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
