Mary Catherine Little

Mary Catherine Deaver Mayton Little, age 85, of Knoxville, departed this life on Monday, June 4, 2018. She was a member of City View Baptist Church. About her time with us, mom said “I have had a wonderful life, with the blessings of Christian parents, was a faithful wife of two fine men, and had the great pleasure of being three times a mother. I have kept absolute faith in my Lord, Jesus Christ”. Along with her love of family and her Saviour, our mom always found great joy in being at the beach, walking in the surf and hunting sea shells. Preceded in death by parents, Max and Effie Deaver, Sr.; husbands James P. Mayton and John S. Little, Sr.; daughter Catherine M. Lane; grandson Christopher J. Rudd; brother and sister-in-law, Max (Jerry) and Barbara Deaver, Jr.; sister-in-law Carolyn S. Deaver. Survivors: daughter, Susan Mayton Rudd; son and daughter-in-law John and Gail Little, Jr.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Rudd and Melissa Budensiek, Adam and Ashley Faw, Jairus and Jessica Sarten; great-grandchildren, Austin Rudd, Krista Rudd, Destiny Faw, Bryson Ingle, Mason Faw; brother, Lewis Edwin (Eddie) Deaver; special aunt and uncle William (Rusty) and Barbara Phillips; nieces and nephews, Bill and Carolyn Christian, Rick and Leslie Deaver; great nieces and nephews, Joe and Dina Potter, Eric and Monica Lawson, Jason Deaver, Joey Deaver, Bill Deaver; numerous beloved cousins; her best friend and sister of her heart, Joyce Johnson of Eagle Lake, FL; and many dear friends. Friends and family will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 12:45 pm Friday, June 15, for a 1 pm graveside service and interment. Reverend Dave Mason will be officiating.
