Mary Belle Smart

Mary Belle (Davis) Smart, went to her heavenly home on January 28, 2013, at her home in Powell. Mary was born to Nora Bell Montgomery on March 16, 1925, in Cumberland County, Tennessee. She was pre-deceased by her mother as well as Carl Smart, her husband of over 50 years; her beloved daughter Darlene Vick; son-in-law, John Vick and daughter-in-law, Debbie Smart. Mary was of the Baptist faith and attended Dante Baptist Church, when her health allowed. "Mama" will be greatly missed by her surviving children; Brenda Vick, Winston Smart and Shannon Carlaine (Gordon) Treece. She was "Memo" to 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several great, great¬-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loyal and faithful canine companion, Trey. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Dante Baptist Church, 314 Brown Drive between the hours of 5:00-7:00 p.m. with services immediately following visitation. Rev. Phillip Murphy will be conducting the services with assistance from Rev. David Snyder. Mary will be interred at Mount Hermon Methodist Church Cemetery in Powell. The family will meet at the gravesite at 10:00 on Friday, February 1st for burial. Mary's grandsons have the pleasure of carrying their Memo to her final resting place.
