Martha Sue Osborn

Martha “Marty” Sue Lonas Osborn, age 79 of Knoxville, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 6, 2022. She graduated from Halls High School, Class of 1961. Marty loved talking with people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed selling Avon and building relationships with her customers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, David Morgan Osborn; her parents, Virgil and Elsie Lonas; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lillie and George Osborn; sister, Mary E Koontz; and her brothers-in-law, Ed Osborn, Frank Littlejohn, and Sonny Maples. She leaves behind her children, David (Shari) Osborn, Vickie (Larry) Smith, and Shawn Osborn; grandchildren, Jessica (Jayson) Ownsby, Cory (Ashley) Smith, and Brenna (John) Watterson; great-grandchildren, Jayce and Ellie Ownsby, and Rowan and Mac Smith; siblings, Judy Maples, Brenda Littlejohn, and Phil (Jackie) Lonas; brother-in-law, George Osborn; and sister-in-law, Robin Osborn. Marty also leaves behind a very special niece, who was like a daughter to her, Teresa Bridges, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will gather at 1:45pm on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery-John Sevier, for a 2:00pm inurnment service, with Rev. Bill Berry officiating.
