Martha Jo Clark, age 84 of Powell, went to meet her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 12, 2015. She was a long time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She worked for Knox County Schools until she became a bus contractor for special education and currently was the longest standing contractor. Preceded in death by husband, Eldred Clark; parents, H.E. and Lillian Janeway; brother, Charles “Buster” DeVault. Survived by daughter, Gail (Dick) Bradley; son, Estell (Janice) Clark; granddaughter, Brooke (Tim) Cox; great-granddaughter, Sara (Ryan) Spencer; nieces, Sharon Roach, Sandra Clark, and Becky Calloway; nephew, Doug Clark. The family would like to thank caretakers Sue Drinnon, and staff of Maple Court and Smokey Mountain Hospice. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Wayne Roach and Rev. James Lambdin officiating. Pallbearers: Tommy and Mike Overton, Tim Cox, Ryan Spencer, Doug Clark, and Kevin Roach Honorary Pallbearers: Carl Overton and deacons at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Family and friends will meet 2:15 pm Sunday at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery for 2:30 pm interment.
