Martha Brooks Simpson

Martha C. Brooks Simpson, age 71 of Knoxville, TN, passed away May 17, 2017 from a long-term illness. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She was the most loving, compassionate, giving, caring, self-sacrificing mother that always thought of others feelings more than her own. The perfect example for others to follow in a Christ like life. She loved Jesus and her family more than anything in the world. She loved to line dance and travel with her friends. She worked for Hyatt Regency and was a customer service representative for Pella Windows and Cendant Corp. Preceded in death by parents James and Alma Lynch Brooks; daughter Tammy Lynn Emmitt; brother Bill Brooks. She is survived by loving husband of 53 years Charlie; loving son Mark A. Simpson; grandchildren Jessica and Misty; great-grandchild Levi; brothers Tony, David, Johnny, and Tommy Brooks; mother-in-law Addie Simpson; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
