Marsha Lynne Partin

Marsha Lynne Floyd Partin, 70, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away March 24, 2023 after complications from pneumonia. Raised in Halls Crossroads, Tennessee, and a graduate of Cumberland College, Marsha served as an elementary school teacher in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas. Her time as an educator culminated in a position as a long-time aide for a student with autism in Knoxville, Tennessee, which Marsha maintained for her student’s academic career from third grade until his high school graduation. As an educator and a Preschool and Children’s Minister, Marsha strove every day to give as much of herself as possible to facilitate the growth of children. Offering her time to others gave Marsha the greatest joy, and left many lives changed for the better. Marsha is preceded in death by her father, William J. Floyd. She is survived by her loving mother, Ruby L. Floyd; her brother Greg Floyd and sister-in-law Alta Floyd; her sister Melinda Bales and brother-in-law Victor Bales; her daughter Kara Franklin and son-in-law Norman Franklin; her daughter Erin Matarrese and son-in-law Mic Matarrese; her daughter Leah Ailey and son-in-law Matt Ailey; her grandchildren Coco, Tommy, Alex, Ruby, and Milo; and her nephew Jordon. The family will receive friends 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a celebration of life to begin at 3:15 PM.
