Marlene Mink Collins, age 61, of Knoxville, went home to be with Jesus August 27, 2016. She was a member of Carter Road Missionary Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother, nana, daughter and sister who will be forever missed and never forgotten. Marlene lived for her family, placing their needs before her own, with a glad heart.
Preceded in death by mother, Loretta Karnes Mink; grandparents, Melvin and Elizabeth Karnes. Survived by loving husband, Danny Collins; children, Jason (Debbie) Collins and Gary (Sam) Collins; grandchildren, Nicholas, Bradley and Cayden Collins, Erica, Kandace and Skylar Wilson; great grandson, Rhett; father, Moses Mink; sister, Libby (Jerry) Bridges; nephew, Jeffery (Gwen) and Makayla Bridges. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the friends and family that have supported Marlene along her way. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Collins, Gary Collins, Nicholas Collins, Bradley Collins, Jeffery Bridges and Jerry Bridges.
Funeral service 8PM Tuesday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Danny Bridges officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15AM Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel and proceed to Glenwood Cemetery for 11AM interment service. Family will receive friends 6-8PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
