Mark Preston Baker Sr., age 68, of Knoxville passed away on February 24, 2016. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Corryton. He was a member of IBEW local 760. He is retired from Tennessee Associated Electric for over 20 years. He was an Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deadrick and Parlie Baker; brothers, James, Paul, Swan, and John; a sister, Hazel Scarlett; and three baby sisters. He is survived by wife of 40 years, Kay Baker; children, Mark Baker Jr. and wife, Tammy, Billy Baker and Toby Baker; grandchildren, Cody, Zack, Austin, Alana; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society by calling 1-800-227-2345. Funeral services will be 8pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 1:15pm Tuesday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for interment service at 1:30. The family will receive friends 6-8 Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
