Mark Evert Daniels, beloved husband, father, and son, passed away peacefully October 31, 2013, at the young age of 85. He was born in Corryton, Tennessee July 26, 1928. Born during the Depression, Mark had a wonderful childhood, wealthy in all the ways that truly mattered. Mark was a big man, tall, dark, and handsome and strong as an ox like his brothers but yet gentle, kind, and loving like his mother. Mark started working at the age of 14 in the mailroom at Tennessee Mill and Mine Supply, working his whole career there, before retiring as President from there at its close. He made many wonderful lifelong friends who he always treasured. Mark had three special personality traits that served him well throughout his life even until his final days. He was mischievous and loved to tease. He saw and lived life as if every day was a new adventure. He taught us all the joy of keeping the child in all of us alive. He was very inquisitive and wasn’t afraid to try anything. He could fix anything and taught us that we could do anything too if we just set our minds to it. His most special trait of all was that he believed deeply in always doing the right thing and always being willing to help others. He lived his life that way every day. Mark loved to fish and would take anyone that wanted to go, whether bank fishing, in the bass boat, or on the river in his Jon boat, you never had to ask twice. He will be missed greatly, loved beyond measure, and remembered forever by those fortunate enough to have shared his life and be blessed by his generosity, sweet nature, and fun loving ways. How grateful we are that birth is not the beginning of life anymore than death is the end of it. We count the days until we will all be together as a family. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Viva Mae “Fitzgerald” Daniels; brothers, Herb, Clarence, and Elmer; first wife, Christine “Jones” and youngest son, Mark Anthony “Tony”. Survived by beloved second wife of 44 years, Mary Elizabeth Daniels; oldest son, David Daniels and his wife Linda; oldest daughter, Patty Helms and husband Steven; daughter-in-law, Penny Daniels; son, Shane Cruze and wife Kay; daughter, Janice Schabot and husband Bobby; son, Kevin Cruze and wife Lucy; additionally Mark had 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
