Marie Therese Lato

MARIE THERESE LATO (KNEPPER), born August 14th, 1961, went to be with her Heavenly Father September 8th, 2018. She was extremely gifted becoming a talented Poet, Musician, Singer, and Writer. Starting at the age of 10 years old she worked door-to-door sales. She dedicated herself to being a wife, mother, and missionary from 1982 to 1988 and also shared her love of being an honest saleswoman throughout the years. When she wasn’t working hard to provide for her family and glorify God, she dearly loved playing the piano, guitar, singing, reading books, researching various topics, and loved playing sports; especially Tennis! Marie Therese Lato was a truly classy lady who was kind to everyone she met, even strangers. She shared her love for God with others by being an advocate for those in need regardless of circumstance or relation and listening to the gospel from anyone who was called to share it. She was a strong Italian woman who treasured her family, especially her children, and who many were blessed to have her unconditional friendship. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Theresa Lato and her brother, Joe Lato. She leaves behind her daughter, Shannon Ariel Mathews, sons, Dillon Asher King and Nathaniel David King, grandsons, Paul King and Asa King, and her brother John Lato. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 P.M. Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel and proceed to Clapp’s Chapel Cemetery for a 1:30 P.M. graveside service.
