Marie Richards

Marie Richards, age 77, of South Knoxville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17th, 2017. She was a member of Burnett’s Creek Church for over 50 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by husband Carlos Richards; parents Johnny and Polly Cooper Blackburn, grandparents George and Hallie Cooper. She is survived by son Allen Richards, and wife Lillian, granddaughter Talisha Richards Davis, and husband Scotty, great-grandchildren Austin, Alissa, and Baby Allen, sister Delores Dotson Byassee, and husband Michael, nieces Melissa Dotson Davis, husband Billy, and Robin Dotson Reed, husband Shane, great-nieces Savannah Davis, Landri, and Laci Reed, great-nephew Noah Dalton, special friend Brenda Hill, and numerous extended family and friends. A very special thank you to Smokey Mountain Hospice for their care and compassion. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Brenda Hill will be officiating. Friends and family will then travel in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for an interment that will immediately follow.
