Margaret Jeffries Brakebill York, age 91, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord November 28, 2012, where she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law Marion and Jim Henley. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Willis York, former husband Ted Brakebill, parents Frank and Grace Jeffries, brothers Franks Jr., George Sr., and six nephews and three of her pastors. Survivors include daughters Marion Brakebill Henley and loving son-in-law Jim and Karen York and daughter-in-law Karrie, sister Marie Fortenberry, brother Ricky Jeffries, grandsons Wes Henley (Samantha), Joseph Ward (Kendra), Tim Ward (Viola), James Weaver and Crystal, who was a special granddaughter and care giver, great-granddaughters Jamie, Ayane, and Jessikah, great-grandsons Austin, Willis, and Shane, special nephew Robert Jeffries who was loved as a son, several nieces and nephews, and extended family Heather Miller, Debra and John Quinn who were all loved as daughters and son. The family gives special thanks and love to friends at Caris. Her most joyous memory was receiving a medal every year for 16 years of not missing Sunday school. Pallbearers will be James Weaver, Jim Henley, Joseph Ward, Timothy Ward, Gerald Wallace, and Charles Jeffries. Funeral services will be 4 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Ed Lemmond and Steve Humphreys. Family and friends will meet 10:30 am Monday to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for 11 am interment. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
