Margaret "Kathy" Haynes

Margaret "Kathy" Haynes, beloved mother, Nanny, and dedicated custodian, passed away on April 6, 2024, in Chattanooga, TN. She was born on February 13, 1955, in Knoxville to her loving parents Robert and Dixie McClain.

Margaret devoted many years of her life to serving the community through her career in the Knox County School System. 

A woman of unwavering faith, Margaret was a member of the Baptist community. Those who knew her remember her as a kind-hearted individual who found joy in simple pleasures. She had a love for playing video games, fishing, and playing darts - hobbies that brought her closer to her family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Virginia "Katie" Haynes, son David "DJ" Haynes, daughter Joyel Haynes, grandchildren Chuck (Destiny) Harbin, Amber Haynes (Cody Sorrells), Shaiane Haynes, Nathaniel Haynes, great-grandchildren Matthew Thomas, Mason Haynes, Zayden Sorrells, Noah Sorrells, Chucky Harbin, Scarlett Harbin, Luka Harbin, Leon Harbin, Da'Nolan McBee as well as Doug Acuff and Devin Acuff. She is also survived by her brothers Bobby (Glenda) McClain, Roger (Patricia) McClain, and Raymond McClain.

Margaret's legacy of love and compassion will be cherished by all who had the honor of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and community. May she rest in peace knowing she made a significant difference in the lives of many.
