Margaret Frances Reed

Margaret D. Reed of Greene County, went to Heaven on Friday, September 23, 2022 after fighting cancer for 23 years (reoccurring 5 times). She was a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a former member of Lafollete United Methodist Church. She worked in the Bell System for 35 years before retiring from AT&T. She enjoyed reading, cooking, flower gardening, traveling, going to Norris lake, and spending time with her family. Margaret is preceded in death by loving husband Joseph A. “Joe” Reed Jr., parents S.E. and Fannie Pickering Drain, sister Helen Noe, and nephew David Noe. Survived by daughters Theressa (John) Myers, Lisa (Pat) Allen, granddaughter Allie “Nikki” (Travis) Ray, brothers Roy Lee (Barbara) Drain, Charles C. Drain, nephews Mark Noe, Charles Jr., Ronnie, Gary, Jerry, and Dean Drain, nieces Kim Pike, and Melissa Perry, special friends Virginia, Bonnie, Marilee, and Brenda. Family will receive friends 10:00am-11:00am Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow. Family and friends will then meet at 12:45pm at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 1:00pm interment.
