COFER, MARGARET ERNESTINE YATES - Age 88, of Morristown, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Life Care Center of Morristown surrounded by her 3 nieces. She was born in Rutledge, TN and lived in Thomasville, GA for many years before moving back home.

Preceded in death by parents, John Ernest and Etna Dykes Yates, husband, James Cofer, brothers Joe (Betty Mae) Yates, Charles Yates, Bobby (Nancy) Yates, sisters Betty (Lew) Yates and Peggy (Frank) Godwin and sister-in-law Rachel Yates.

She is survived by her 3 nieces and caregivers, Rose (Fred) Montgomery, Marie (Billy) Daniel and Renee Godwin. Brother, Richard Yates, Sister-in-law, Carolyn Yates, Stepchildren, Jennifer and Drew Cofer, and many other nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank DeWitt Place and Life Care Center of Morristown for their wonderful care of Aunt Margaret during her last years.
