Margaret (Green) Cathey, widow of James “Jim” Cathey was greeted into the
arms of Jesus on February 5, 2021.
Born May 12, 1938 in Michigan, she lived most of her life in Knoxville, TN. She and her late husband were high school sweethearts and graduates of Powell High School. They were married for 47 years, co-owned Cathey’s RV and were active members at Dante Baptist Church.
Margaret was known for being a caring, generous woman, who was admired
for her commitment and love to the Lord, her family and church.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, George and Stella
Green, her brother, Jerry Green, and nephew, Randy Keck.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Kim) Cathey of Powell; her daughter, Teresa Cathey (Jimmy) Johnson of Knoxville. She also leaves behind granddaughters Shannon (Logan) Quinton, Kenzie Cathey; grandsons Justin (Amanda) Johnson, Jayven Cathey; great grandchildren Landry Quinton and Olive James Johnson (due 4/5/21); sister Bobbie Green Wampler, brother, Bill Green; and several nieces.
Although she will be missed by many, the family rejoices in knowing that there
is a reunion in heaven with those that she loved who have gone on before.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Dante Baptist Church Playground Fund in remembrance of Margaret.

Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM graveside service Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Highland Memorial, Rev. Lee Murphy officiating.
