Malinda Sue Johnson Smith, age 71, passed away at home on Friday, March 24, 2017, surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by father Charles Johnson; mother Ola Lusby Johnson; step-mother Stella Johnson; brother and sister-in-law Don and Genelle Johnson. She is survived by husband George “Ray”Smith; son and daughter-in-law Guy and Sandy Smith; daughters and sons-in-law Sherry Conard, Laurel and David McCarter and Ashley and Jeff Bush; grandchildren Devon and Jason Land, Tyler Gann, Rosie Smith and fiancé Chase McDaniel, Charlsey Bush and fiancé Daniel Stone, Mikayla and Cody Brabston, Tristan Conard, Dallas Bush, Carson Whetsel, Hunter McCarter; great grandchildren Riley Claire Dixon and Carter Ray Gann; sisters Rebecca Costanza, Freida Rudder and Gayla Lachmund; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to City View Baptist Church Bus Fund, 2311 Fine Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm, Monday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:45am, Tuesday, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for graveside service at 11:00am, with Rev. Gene Hurley officiating.
