Lucy J. Ellis Miller, born July 20, 1926, passed away March 16, 2021. A longtime member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, her foundation of faith and spiritual renewal and heart friends were so special. She was a remarkable lady with a zest for life, exceptional strengths, and strong faith, who was loved by all. Lucy had a true servant’s heart, always doing for others. She will always be remembered for her Sunday dinners that fed the multitudes. This was her expression of love to all, and her mealtimes will be forever ingrained in our hearts. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, A.R. Miller, son Donald Miller, parents Dewy and Bertha Ellis, sisters Helen Kernell and Betty Shultz, and brother Bob Ellis. She is survived by son Dennis (Jean) Miller, daughters Shelia (Steve) Abbott, Jewell (Steve) Anderson, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were the sparkle of her eye. She will be sadly missed by all. To know her was to love her. We are so very thankful to the whole UT Hospice team. We will forever be grateful for their care and compassion on this journey with us.
