Lowell E. Mitchell age 77 of Corryton went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church where he had sang in the choir. He retired from Southeast Pest Control. Lowell spent many years racing at Knoxville Raceway, he liked car shows, speed boat racing and he built racing car engines. Preceded in death by parents, Thelma and Sampson Mitchell; siblings, Shirley Patty, Wanda Cherry and George Mitchell. Survivors; loving wife of 46 years, Cindy Mitchell; daughters, Gena Rayho (Jerry), Tiffany (Brad) Cardwell and Misty (Jeremy) Keller; grandchildren, Dylan (Angie) Rayho, Matt Cardwell, Sydney Rayho, MaKenna Rayho (Jacob), Kennedy Mitchell and Kylie Cardwell. Sister, Evelyn (Robert) Dockery; brothers, Sammy (Karen) Mitchell and Marvin Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel followed by a 6:00 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Justin Pratt and Rev. Jerry Vittatoe officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2024 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Washington Pike for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service, Rev.
