Louise S. “Nanny” Kirby

August 12, 1935 — November 19, 2015

Louise S. Kirby “Nanny”, age 80 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. Louise was a member of Highland Baptist Church and regularly attended Valley View Baptist Church. Louise is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her husband Henry Kirby; daughters Connie Giguere (Bill) and Debbie Parris (Arthur); grandchildren Amy Lane (Kevin), John Parris, Steve Bell (Kristie), Chris Bell (Kari); great grandchildren Chase, Kaylee, Hunter, Sam, Sophie, Sydney, Jackson, and Jonathan; sisters Pat Cameron (Don) and Jan Humphries (the late Bill Humphries). We would like to thank the entire staff of UT Cancer Institute and UT Hospice for all of their hard work. The family will receive friends 3:00 – 5:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Justin Pratt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Valley View Baptist Church, 3521 Old Valley View Road. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Sunday at Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery for 2:00 pm interment.
