Lois Shirlene Smith

Lois Shirlene Smith, age 86, of Knoxville died April 20, 2016. She was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband of 49 years Tate Smith; brother Ken Jones; sisters Dona Sexton and Jean Carey. Survived by daughter Jeanette (Fred) Brannon, Susan (Gordon) Mapes, Melissa (Bill) Ward; grandchildren Jason Brannon (Melissa Long), Jessica Brannon, Stuart and Chloe Mapes, William and Emma Ward; great-grandchildren Tatum and Keegan Brannon; sister Mattie Duke; brother Ted (Ruth) Jones;; sister-in-law Emma Smith Lundy; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Renaissance Terrace for their excellent care. Service will be 7pm Friday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Gordon Mapes officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Renaissance Terrace Activities Fund, 215 Bearden Place, Knoxville, TN 37917. Family and friends will meet 9:45am Saturday at Carr Cemetery for 10am interment. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Friday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
