Lois Jean Neff

March 5, 1924 — March 6, 2021

Lois Jean Emge Neff, age 97, of Powell, went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2021. Lois retired from the Knox County Trustees Office. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was kind and generous and always ready to help anyone in need. Lois had a special relationship with children. They seemed to be drawn to her and she cherished their love. She was a faithful member of Fair Havens Baptist Church. She served her church in many capacities through the years. She worked in Vacation Bible School for over 50 years. She was a member of the Women’s Mission group and participated in their projects as long as she was able. Lois always said anything we do or give in God’s Name should be our best. She loved to crochet and used her skill to make hats for cancer patients and the homeless. She also made baby booties for crisis pregnancy centers. She was a hard-working person. From sending cards to encourage or preparing meals for someone, she was always busy. Lois was a wonderful blessing to her family. She leaves a legacy of a faithful, devoted life to God. Preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Mollie Emge. She is survived by Son, Robert Neff and wife, Barbara; Daughter, Linda Brock and husband, Elmo; Sister, Dovie Patterson; Brothers, David Emge and Carl Emge; Grandchildren, Matthew Brock and wife Jesica, Sarah LeVan and husband, Jay; Great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn LeVan and Mason Brock; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff of Elmcroft of Halls Memory Care and UT Hospice. A special thanks to Emma McMillan.
