Lois Ann Massengill of Knoxville came to be with the Lord on July 18th, 2015 at UT Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Lois was a member of Dutch Valley Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Bessie Burdine; husbands David Herbert Jenkins (father of her son) and David Massengill; brothers Bill, Ray, and Bob Burdine; and sister Jeanne Everett. She is survived by son, her pride and joy David (P-nut) Jenkins (Tara); special nieces who were her honorary grandchildren Amy, Mason (Andy), and Brandi McAlpin (Garrett), and nephew Billy Burdine and many more; great grandchildren Drew, Ali, and Bree; sisters Sue Hawkins (Don) and Teresa Daniel (Stanley); special friends Lisa Monroe, Betty Flynn, and Kathy Robbins. Many thanks to the special nurses on UT Medical Center 8th floor East and Dr. Edward and Dr. Panella for their loving care and compassion. Service 7pm Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Pam Neal officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home at 10:15am Wednesday to proceed to Bookwalter Cemetery for a graveside service at 11am. Pallbearers will be Andy Mason, Garrett McAlpin, Tim Witt, Billy Burdine, H.E. Vineyard, Tim Helton, Mark Rouse, and Ricky Cox. In lieu of flowers memorials will be made to Campaign for Hope, UT Medical Center, 1926 Alcoa Hwy., suite 310, Knoxville, TN 37920.
