Lisa Carringer Atkins, age 53, left for Glory Land on August 7, 2015, after a very courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Her spunk and spirit during this fight were great inspirations to her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her two wonderful fathers, Harry Alexander Carringer, Jr. and Bobby Ralph Noah; grandparents, Felix and Berenice Walerysiak, Henry and Ruth (Carringer) Lawson; and nephew, Lance Andrew Campbell. Survived by husband, Troy (Tony) Anthony Atkins; daughter, Kari Benziger Derreberry and son-in-law McKamey; mother, Glenda Walerysiak Carringer Noah; sister, Suzi Carringer Campbell and brother-in-law Don; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and beloved friend of 30 plus years, Pam Vandegriff. Special thanks to Pam Duerkes, her UT Hospice Nurse, who was a great comfort to the family. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, with Rev. John Holland officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:45 am Monday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 12:00 pm interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice
