Mynatt, Linvil B. Jr. (Junior) age 90 of Maynardville, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, February 17, 2013 at Physicians Regional Medical Center, with his family and friends by his side. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Linvil was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church. He was a WWII Army Veteran, landing in Germany during the Battle of the Bulge and was a Prisoner of War during the last four months of the war, which was the coldest winter in the history of Germany. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Linvil, Sr. and Ora Bell (White) Mynatt; brothers, Billy, Paul and baby George Mynatt; sisters, Barbara Jean Mynatt, Vivian Jones and baby Dora Lee Mynatt; son-in-law, Msg. Ballard Rice. Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Shirley (Sorey) Mynatt; sons, David (Wanda), Jerry (Jerri), Danny, Greg (Jeanette) Mynatt; daughter, Sheila Rice; grandchildren, David (Gerlinde) Rice, David Mynatt, Shea (Jackie) Ervin, Jason (Tiffany) Mynatt, Daniel (Arie) Rice, Joshua Mynatt, U.S. Navy, Jennifer (Jason) Linderman, Derrick (Brittney) Rice; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline (John) Jackson, Velma (Bill) Gray, Thelma Gardner, special buddy, Joseph Houser; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Rev. Robert West and Rev. Dallas Harrell officiating. Family and friends will meet 2:15 pm Thursday at the funeral home and proceed to New Loyston Memorial Gardens for 3:00 pm interment with full military honors. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Bruner, Matthew Bruner, Michael Bruner, Jimmy Caldwell, Ronnie Graves and Keith West. Family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
