Linda Sue Whitson

Linda Sue Whitson, 68 of Powell went home to be with her Lord on June 27, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and June Hughes; son, James Byrd, brothers, Curtis, James and Mark Hughes. Linda is survived by her husband William (Jabo) of 50 years; son, Tony Byrd; daughters, Tammy Whitson and Tina Varner; grandchildren, Jacob, Breanna, Tony, Gracie, and Natalie. Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and her beloved pet “Little Man”. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1 from 6-8 at Mynatt Funeral Home, 2829 Rennoc Road, Fountain City Chapel, Knoxville with service to follow at 8:00p.m. with Rev. Donnie Scarborough officiating. Friends will meet at 1:45pm Sunday at The Church of The Brethren Cemetery, 7430 Pelleaux Rd Knoxville, TN 37938 for the graveside services.
