Linda Gail Kidd Mays, age 61 of Knoxville, went to be with to the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She loved to read, the beach, dancing, listening to music and watching sports. She will be remembered as a vibrant, caring person. She would always try her best to help people.
Preceded in death by her husband Charles Kidd, her parents, Ruby G. Mays and Charles Ray Mays, her siblings Doug Abbott, Eddie Abbott, Ann Hayes, Carolyn Worley, Wayne Mays, Ray Mays Jr., Kenny Mays, Neal Mays, Jerry Mays, and Alice Mays.
Survived by her children Shannon, Tabitha, Eric, Chase, Amanda, and Daphane, siblings, Brenda Wolfe, Judy Kay Lusk, Bill Mays, and Sue Chapman, grandchildren; Katelyn, Ethan, Emma, and Kallee Roberts, Alexandria Miller, Jordan, Mason, Kellen, Slater, Elijah, Adaline, and Belle Freeman, many nieces and nephews, and her special friend Jimmy Ball.
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM with a service to follow, Rev. Jack Chapman and William Lee Mays Jr. officiating. Friends and family will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel at 9:45 AM to go into procession to New Gray Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service. pallbearers will be Bill Mays, Bill Mays Jr., Billy Rock, Jack Chapman, Bill Lusk and Brian Mays.
