Lillian Ratarsky

Lillian Ratarsky, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. She was born in Brooklyn, New York; lived in Allentown, PA for 65 years; Knoxville, TN for 4 years. She was a lifelong member of Congregation Keneseth Israel and the Jewish Community Center both in Allentown, PA. Lillian volunteered her time for many different charities and nonprofit groups over the years in Allentown. She was a positive woman who loved to dance, sing, socialize, and take care of her family. Preceded in death by her parents Bessie and Samuel Lurie; sisters Sylvia Bernett (Joe), Irene Bindler (Aaron); brothers Jack Lurie (Bea), Sidney Lurie (Lenore), Sol Kaplan (Bertha), Harry Reiters (Diane). Survived by daughter, Sheryle Leekley and son, Scott Ratarsky (Linda); grandchildren Jim Simonelli (Chrissy), Annie Morrison (Jon), and Alexandra Leekley. Many special nieces and nephews who were very kind to her over the years. She loved them very much. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff at Oakwood Senior Living who were so important to her the last few years.
