Lillian "Jean" Harrell Vance

Lillian “Jean” Harrell Vance age 97, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Jean was a long-time member of Central View American Christian Church in Washburn, TN. She started working at Regas Restaurant, and then spent many years in the banking industry working at Valley Fidelity Bank.

She is preceded in death by husband, Heston Vance; father, Walter Harrell; mother, Anna Harrell Gurley; stepdad whom she adored, Curtis Gurley; brothers, Conley, Clifford, and Murphy Harrell.

Survived by her “youngin” Tonya Harrison and husband Jim Harrison, Brennan (Dominique) Moore; her “angel,” Lorren; brother, Rev. Dallas Harrell; also leaving behind a host of family and friends. A special thank you to NHC Oak Ridge, Caris Hospice, and Jim Harrison for spending the time he spent with her when Tonya couldn’t during hospital visits and doctor appointments. He always made sure she had everything she needed like Kleenex and cough drops. Jim went above and beyond for what Jean needed.

The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Rev. Jerry Epperson and Rev. Dallas Harrell to officiate. On Wednesday, March 26, 2025 family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. at Acuff Cemetery in Washburn, TN for 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers include: Brennan Moore, Jim Harrison, Mike Spangler, Josh Spangler, Dallas Harrell, Wayne Stokes, Derek Stokes, and Blake Stokes and honorary pallbearer, Devin Stokes.
