Lewis Steve Fortner of Knoxville, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2021. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather (G). A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Masters in Business and Accounting. He was the Vice president and CPA for Highway Transport, Inc. for over 40 years. He adored spending time with his family and was a devoted man of God, respected by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by loving wife Sandi Jane Fortner; parents Lewis Fortner and Vaunee Fortner; sister Kathy Lewis. Survived by beloved children, son Nicholas “Nick” Fortner (Kerri Keaton) and daughter Meghan Fortner Long (Matthew Long); grandchildren Jackson Fortner Long and El Keaton; sister Gayle Payne (Tim Payne), brother Keith Fortner; sister-in-law Suzi Allison and husband Larry Allison; several nieces, nephews, and many other cherished family members and loved ones. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Friday, April 30, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 8:00pm, Reverend Dr. Dan Riley officiating .
