Leroy (Roy) James Wagner age 74 of Knoxville passed away July 20, 2014. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1969 and then joined Fleet Reserve until 1975 with a total of 20 years service. He served 3 terms in Vietnam and spent a lot of his service time overseas. He was on different ships in the U.S. Navy and was very active in the Navy Retirement Association. He also worked for 13 years at TVA. Preceded in death by loving parents Wilfred L. and Margaret M. of Bradford, PA; brother Kenneth E. of Sacramento, CA; sister Anna Louise of Luttrell, TN.He is survived by wife Fern (Sallings) Wagner of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bobby Muncey of Luttrell, TN; grandchildren: Jake, Cherokee, and Chevelle Muncey; very special nephews: Dale, Kenny, Jimmy, and Joe Sallings; brothers Alton of Grinnell, Iowa, Clyde of Hamburg, NY, Ethan of Great Valley, NY, George of Bradford, PA, Raymond of Rochester, NY, Donna Ward of Waynesboro, VA, Edna Gibson of Waynesboro, VA. Special thanks to Dr. Robert G. Thompson, Dr. Schumacher, Tennessee Cancer Specialist, Dr. Putell, Dr. Bishop, Amedysis Hospice and staff of all offices. Also, a special thank you to Nancy and Arnold Brown and all the other neighbors. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital. Service will be 8pm Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:30am Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for 11am interment. Pallbearers: Dale Corum, Kenny Sallings, Joe Sallings, Bobby Muncey, Cherokee Muncey, Alan Hasemeyer. Honorary Pallbearers: Jake Muncey, Bob Moyers, Olen Keck, Ken Baker.
