Leona Stansberry Lewis

Leona (Stansberry) Lewis, age 89, passed away December 23, 2015. She attended New Antioch Baptist Church and retired from Carter Middle School. She was a loving mom and her world was her children. She will be missed by so many. The love she had for all will never be forgotten. Preceded in death by grandson Jason Lewis; parents Lib and Effie Stansberry; sisters Margaret Stokes and Mildred Ray; brothers, Herman, Joe, and JW Stansberry. Survived by husband of 69 years Ben Lewis; daughters Linda (JT) White, Janice (Dennis) Dunn; sons RB (Norlee), Carl (Pat) Lewis; grandchildren Tammy Karnes, Chris Vest, Barry Vest, Aaron Davis, Jesse Lewis, Mark Lewis, and Ricky Lewis; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara Trent, Judy Hogan, Kat Rickard, Betty Cain, and Sue Swann; brothers Fred, Everett, Junior, and Ed Stansberry. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with the Service to follow at 7pm. Family and friends will meet 12pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home and proceed to Strawberry Plains Cemetery for 1pm interment. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers: Danny Neubert, Larry Holbert, Kenny Davis, Bud Stansberry, and Keith Trent.
