Lawrence Gene Atkins

Lawrence Gene Atkins, age 64, of Halls, passed away August 30, 2013. He retired from UPS after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by father, Rev. Fred Atkins. Survived by wife, Tammy (Rutherford) Atkins; sons, Scott & Robert (Jessica) Atkins; grandchildren, Peyton, Ashleigh, Michael, Elaina; mother, Helen M. Atkins; brothers, Howard (Gail) Atkins of Las Vegas, NV, David “Duck”(Debbie) Atkins of Sharps Chapel and Mike (Monica) Atkins of Knoxville; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude’s, Shriners, or charity of your choice. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will meet at 9:45am Monday at Greenwood Cemetery for 10:00am graveside service, Rev. Frank Lord and Marcus Atkins officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
