Lawrence Rutledge, age 78, of Knoxville, passed away, October 30, 2013. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a truck driver for M&S and Neely Produce and had retired after 54 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Hester Rutledge, wives Bertha and Carol, brothers, Roy, Jimmy and Ben. Survived by loving and devoted wife, Kim Rutledge, daughters, Carolyn, Faye, Nina, sons, Billy, Eddie, James, sisters, Faye, Mary, brother, John, special granddaughters, Kelly McCoy and Brooke Howey, special niece, Juanita Miller, special friend, Robert Davis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends at Broadway Towers. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. Service, 8:00 p.m., Friday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain City, Pastor Charles Stafford officiating. Family and friends will meet, 10:45 a.m., Saturday, Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers: Ronnie Cooper, Jacob Brooks, Billy Sauls, Jimmy Miller, Junior Griffin and Roy Griffin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
