Darlene "Dot" Beverly

Darlene “Dot” Beverly, age 77, of Powell, TN, passed away peacefully with her son and daughter-in-law by her side on Sunday April 6, 2025. Dot was born on August 7, 1947 in Jacksonville, FL. In August of 1963, she married the love of her life, Larry Beverly. They went on to have 2 sons and eventually settled in Knoxville in 1990, where they spent the remainder of their 55 blessed years together before Larry’s passing in 2018.

Dot was very active in her church (The Church of God: The Gospel Assembly) for many of her years in Knoxville. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking for people, gardening, and all things Christmas. However, her most cherished role and favorite pastime was being a devoted Granny to her beloved grandchildren.

Dot is preceded in death by her husband Larry Sr; her mother Shirley; brothers: Donald, Steve, Gary, and Terry; and her great grandson Kaine.

She is survived by her son Kevin and his wife Leah; daughter-in-law Donna; son Larry Jr and his wife Rachael; grandchildren: Jennifer, Zach and Lilia, Gregory, Cody and Jasmine, Evan, Zain, Carly, Avery and Aiden; and great-grandchildren: Cayden, Ellijah, Zeilin, Maverick, Bristol, and Anderson.

She was fiercely loved and will be missed by many, but we rejoice in the fact that she is reunited with her Lord and Savior.

Dot’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 19th, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel, 2000 Powell Dr Powell, TN 37849. Receiving of friends will be held from 10-11 with service immediately to follow. Pastor Danny Oliver officiating.
