Lavern Sharp

Laverne Sharp, age 75, of Powell, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was a longtime member of Beaverdale Baptist Church. Lavern was preceded in death by her loving parents, Edward and Elva Dawson and two brothers and two sisters. Lavern is survived by her beloved husband, William O. Sharp, Jr.; Son and daughter in law, James and Cynthia Neff; daughter and son in law, Lisa and Ronnie Waldrop; grandchildren, Derek Waldrop and Lori (Tyler) Simpson; Great-grandchildren, Mason and “Gracie”; sisters, Polly Hollaway and Donna (Cecil, Jr.) Brown; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM. Reverends Brent Turnmier and David Watson officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:30 AM Monday, July 11, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel and proceed to Fort Sumter Memorial Gardens for a noon graveside service.
