Larry Wayne Knott

Larry Wayne Knott, age 71 of Knoxville, departed this life April 17, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family, wife Pat, daughter Angie, son Jeff, joined by Jeff’s wife Cindy, granddaughter Gracie, grandson Sam, and faithful companion Rosie. Larry was retired from TVA and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation after many years of faithful service. Larry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by so many. Preceded in death by loving parents, M. H. and Irene Knott; brother, Robert Knott of Winston Salem, NC. Larry leaves behind many more loving family members, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judi and Steven Miller of Evans, Georgia, Anita Knott and family of Winston Salem, NC; several cousins, nieces and nephews; dear friends, Charlie and Jody West, Tom and Carol Brewer, Tom and Carol Wendzel, Mary Lay, Richard and Joan Moon, Bill and Barbara Catlett, the Mintons and Pat Logan, the Tuten family and numerous other kind and caring friends and neighbors. Our sincere thanks to all who took part in his medical care and treatment, with a special thank you to his primary care physician, Dr. John Daugherty and staff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 North Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909, American Diabetes Association, P.O. Family will receive friends 3:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Graveside service will be at a later date.
