Larry Capps is now present with the Lord. He greatly treasured his family and is survived by his wife Jeana, children Chad Capps (Joanna), Lori Cook (Dale), and Kent Capps (Candace), grandchildren Luke and Anna Lee Capps, Nolan and Summit Cook, Lydia, Jude, and Hudson Capps, siblings Fred and Mike Capps and Martha Benfield. Larry was a faithful servant of God and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church for 41 years. He attended the University of Tennessee and worked as an engineer at the Y-12 nuclear plant in Oak Ridge, TN until he retired. As a hobby, he enjoyed building antique cars- both street rods and classics. He and his wife, Jeana, also enjoyed traveling across the US, and photographing much of God’s awesome creation along the way. Funeral service will be held 1:00pm Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 4328 E. Emory Road Knoxville, TN 37938, with Dr. Alan Price and Pastor Kent Capps officiating. Funeral service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/bdbchurch. Family and friends will then meet at 2:45pm at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 3:00pm graveside service. Pallbearers are brother, Fred Capps and dear friends Lewis Ridley, Paul Campbell, Glen Laws, Phil Lovorn, Benny Clotfelter, James Dew, and Jerry Gresham. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Nolan, Jude, Luke and Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry’s honor to Beaver Dam Baptist Church Future Needs Fund.
