Larry Joe Mynatt

Larry Joe Mynatt, age 67, of Powell, passed away March 7, 2013. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Powell. Larry graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Cumberland College and received his master’s degree from The University of Tennessee. He was a retired teacher and coach of Knox County Schools, including over 25 years at Halls High School. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl Eugene and Ruth Mynatt; sister, Peggy Wilson. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Mynatt; sons, Mark (Kristin) Mynatt and Todd (Marilyn) Mynatt; grandchildren, Tyler, James, Amaris, and Matthew; special friends, Marshall and Lynda Crippen, Sterling and Charlene Lewis. Funeral service 2:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Pastor Phil Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missions Department of First Baptist Church of Powell, 7706 Ewing Road, Powell, TN 37849. Family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
