Larry George Hatfield

Larry George Hatfield - age 62 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2020. Lovingly known as "The Boot Man," Larry worked most of his life in the leather industry at his family business, Knoxville Leather Company. He was an avid UT Vol fan and loved to play golf. He enjoyed hanging out by the pool and fishing with his buddy Roger. Larry was the life of the party and had a heart of gold. He was the happiest when spending time with friends and family. Preceded in death by parents P.O. and Dorothy Margaret Hatfield; niece Brittney Clare Hatfield Cheatham. Survived by his loving soulmate Barbara Hatchett; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Mary Hatfield; brothers and sisters, Iris Hash, Patricia Culpepper, Richard Hatfield, John Hatfield; grandchild Brooke Hatfield, and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Roger Freels officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment.
