Larry Edward Elliott, 75, of Knoxville passed away at his home the morning of December 28, 2018.
Larry was an employee of Bellsouth with over 40 years of service. He served in the United States Army where he spent the bulk of his enlistment as a Drill Instructor at Ft. Polk Louisiana. He was a member of Bright Hope Lodge, Scottish Rite, Kerbella Temple and the Klown Korp.
Larry also loved spending time outdoors. In his younger life he was an avid camper, hunter, and water skier. He loved spending time riding his motorcycle and was a member of the local Gold Wing Riders Association.
He was also a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his niece Tracey W. Long, daughter and son-in-law Necia and Nate Stecker, and son and daughter-in-law Lee and Melissa Elliott (Knoxville); grandchildren Pierce, Parker, and Caroline Elliott and Clayton & Sydney Farmer. He was proceeded in death by his parents William “Bill” Elliott and Mittie Elliott Davis; and brothers Erwin Hugh “Cowboy” Elliott and James Roland Elliott.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. Dr. Alan Price officiating.
