Lancing Charles England passed away the morning of Friday, February, 7th 2025 at his home due to cardiac arrest. Lance was a loving husband, father, son and brother.

Lance is survived by three of his sons, Logan, Brandon and Evan England; his wife of 34 years, Rhonda England; his parents, Charles and Marietta England; his sister, Monique Grant and nephew, Mason Heustess.

Lance will be reunited with his 2nd born son, Austin England, in heaven.

Born in Maryville, Tennessee, Lance graduated from Maryville High School, went on to Maryville College to obtain his BA in Pre-Physical Therapy, then to The University of Tennessee to obtain his MS in both Exercise Physiology & Elementary Education, to finally obtaining his EDS for Education, Administration and Supervision.

Lance was a veteran of the United States Army in the 844th Battalion with many campaigns, such as: Operation Just Cause, Panama (1986), Operation Desert Shield, Saudi Arabia (1990) and Operation Desert Storm, Iraq (1991).

Lance took great pride in teaching others and being the leader that he is. Lance was a middle school teacher at Farragut Middle school for 27 years, Adjunct Professor of Modern Combatives and Japanese Swordsmanship at the University of Tennessee Knoxville for 29 years and a Dojo Sensei at Satori Ryu Budo for 28 years. Through these endeavors, many people got the pleasure to meet Lance. Lance was more than a man or a leader, Lance was a servant in life to anyone that sought comfort, someone to listen, or to find guidance from. Lance was the rock that kept many of us grounded, while also teaching us that love and compassion are some of the most important aspects to living a happy and fulfilling life.

The family will receive friends 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Saturday, February 15, 2025 with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel.  Zach Magill officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 1:45pm, Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church (2329 E Brushy Valley Dr, Powell, TN 37849) for a 2:00pm interment service with full military honors presented by the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard.
