Kyle B. Crippen, age 63, went home to his Lord and Savior on March 4, 2016. A dedicated follower of Christ, Kyle was a Gideon and a long time Sunday School teacher as well as often speaker at the rescue mission. He also was a witness at the juvenile detention center among many other ministry activities. He was an avid sportsman, outdoorsman and dog lover. Kyle was a loving husband to wife Lesa of 35 years, brother, and uncle. He is preceded in death by parents Harold (Ike) and Ethel Crippen and sister Patsy Crippen. Survived by wife Lesa Story Crippen, sister Judy Wyrick, sister and brother-in-law Susie and Johnny Schneider; mother and father-in-law Edgar and Frankie Whitaker; sister in law Jill Story; nieces and nephews Julie (Necee) Wyrick, Bub and Angie Wyrick, Pat Wyrick, Ginger and Scott Wishart, Brandon and Yvette Schneider; great-nieces and nephews Kayla, Tyler, Jake and Max Wyrick, Zach and Grant Wishart, Isabela and Lola Schneider. Family wishes to thank family and friends for your love and support on this long transplant journey, especially all our prayer warriors, many we won’t know until we get to heaven. We appreciate Dr. Borrelli, Dr. Bae, Dr. Kiss, staff at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital Nephrology 3 West, Dr. Salter and Patty for years of care.
